BLUETOOTH HEADSETS ON OSX

PIP Bluetooth

Some people have been having a bit of trouble getting the Bluetooth HULGER handsets to sync with their MACs running OSX (for Skype and iChat and whatnot). You’ll know whether or not it is supported as “Headset” either does or doesn’t show up in the list of devices in the Bluetooth menu on the right of the MAC toolbar behind the “set up Bluetooth device” option. Some earlier OSX machines come with Bluetooth pre-installed but don’t actually support headsets which is a little odd I know. It’s quite an easy fix which involves downloading and installing this firmware update. Follow instructions carefully and make sure you’ve got the right OS for the install (as it’s not our fault if it goes wrong!)

Please comment if you have anything to add….

Only for updating factory-fitted Apple bluetooth module, not for external bluetooth devices
