Hulger isn’t into arms in general but we found these strangely attractive. Antonio Riello explains of his Ladies Weapons:
“In 1998 I decided to focus my artistic research mainly about a “fashion-fiction” visual story regarding an old passion of mine: weapons - objects full of symbolic senses. I want to mix, in an artistic way, traditional ‘female stuff’ like fashion with very traditional ‘male stuff’ like guns. It consists in a restyling of real military weapons into fashion items for ladies”.

Whilst we’re generally unimpressed by people copying the Hulger idea, occasionally we spot things we like. Here’s one from Bmeres that installs Bluetooth tech into an old Russian handset, one with a mouthpiece that seems to have inspired lord Vadar’s mask design.

We thought all the low energy bulbs we saw were boring, you’d only ever put on up to ‘help.’ So Hulger tried to make a nice one, one you might actually want to have around, one which might inspire the design community to come up some inspiring and wonderful ideas to create beautiful and desirable things.

Well we hope you like our new site.
In case you missed them, the main changes are that you can now buy in US Dollars and Euros. Check the pricing for your region as we have made some changes to recognise recent changes in currency exchange rates. We still ship from either Europe, North America, Japan and China, so delivery times are pretty short if you’re in or close to any of these regions.
The full range of products are now available, including the Bill Amberg range and the Limited Edition Astor& Sophia.
If you intend to buy a wired phone and you want to find the right adaptor we’ve also created an adaptor widget to make it easier to find the one you need. You need to know the make and model of the mobile phone that it’s going to be used with first.
We will soon be adding French, German, Spanish and Italian language sites too.
We hope that the layout, explanations and buying options make it all a lot simpler and clearer to find what you are looking for.
That’s all for now.

We like Robert Stadler’s Pentaphone, a suspended booth that blocks noisy ambient noise in public spaces as you use your phone. More at Dezeen
