Love the WEARHEAD*PHONE. I think it’s my favourite piece in the HearWear exhibition.
I led IDEO’s response, Table Talk; also, with Crispin Jones, Social Mobiles which got us to Tokyo and to meet Maywa Denki…
Just left IDEO to lecture on Interactive Media Design at the University of Dundee, and pursue design research, occassionally in the spirit of Social Mobiles, into communication and speech impairment.
Also writing a book for the MIT Press called ‘When design meets disability…’, looking at inspiring overlaps between mainstream art and design culture and issues around disability. With your permission, I’d love to feature WEARHEAD*PHONE.
Was your use of camouflage a comment on pink plastic hearing aids? (love it anyway)
